Update: My Etsy site is up and running!! For cards and things with the art on them, check out http://www.etsy.com/shop/ILYPaperProducts. All my new drawings are over there too!
About My Art:
y colored pencil drawings featuring hands and swirly patterns are done in two ways. The smaller drawings are just done on regular white computer paper that I’ve cut down, and the larger drawings are done on 9×11 Strathmore acid-free drawing paper. I use Prismacolor pencils, although some of the older drawings were done with Crayolas. The small drawings take me around an hour, while the large ones can take up to a whole day to complete, depending on the amount of detail I decide I want.
Recently, I’ve had a lot of people ask me to use my art for various things. I’m totally OK with that as long as 3 guidelines are followed:
First, I would really like to recieve credit for having created the art. It would be amazing if you could link back to my site, but I’m also OK with being listed as “Caseykins”.
Second, please don’t use my art for things that will make a profit (i. e. using an image for a t-shirt that you plan to sell). I worked hard on that art and, although I’m willing to let you enjoy it free of charge, I think that if there is profit being made, my hard work should be rewarded.
Third, please let me know that you are using the art and what for. This is mostly just to satisfy my curiosity.
If you don’t want to leave a comment, you can e-mail me at ifmyhandscouldspeak@gmail.com.
Thank’s a million for reading the blog and enjoying the art!!
Sincerely, Caseykins

Your artwork is absolutely beautiful. As requested, I wanted to let you know that I used one of your drawings, Finger Spelling, as the cover art for a project I did in one of my Graduate classes. I wrote a story for Elementary school children about a Deaf boy’s experiance as he moved from a school for the deaf to a public school. I included the web address on the cover and cited you in my refference section. Thanks so much for putting all your artwork out there and letting me use it.

Hello from Spain.
I have used one of your pieces to illustrate an article about how ASL has been used to asses neural patterns in the brain activated by different grammar estructures. The article is here: http://cesartomelopez.blogspot.com/2010/05/el-cerebro-usa-estructuras-primitivas.html
You are duly linked.
Thanks a lot.

No, don’t worry, I didn’t think you were being rude or anything. I was actually feeling bad because I had been such a procrastinator.
But you’re welcome very much. I hope your class enjoys them.

Love your artwork. If I may share a feedback, it often confuses people who are just learning the ASL alphabet and they often flip their hands as the picture indicates. I wonder if you could make g and h reversed though?
What is your full name and email address or website that I can credit to you?
Fantastic blog too! Keep it up!
Cheers,

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful art work on the web! I am creating some award certificates for students in a Deaf/Hard of Hearing program in Colorado. Besides making the certificates look AWESOME I think it will inspire the students to be creative with their language as well.
Thank you so much!

Howdy intelligent post. Why did not i consider those? Off subject a bit, your blog template from an ordinary installation or do you use a customized template.

I am a Coda and I love your art. I love the muted colors, the diversity of the hands and the swirls. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. I am also working on my ITP and working on a final project for class. I plan to use some of your art for a PP presentation. Thank you!

Hello, Your artwork is so awesome. I used your “a” “r” and “t” on the first slide of a power point presentation for my Deaf Studies class. I also live in Southern California and I am also on the path to become an ASL interpreter. I am currently in ASL 4. Thank you for sharing your art work. I cited you and your website in my power point

I think your art is wondering. I am putting together a board at our school for a Sign Langauge Club and it would really attract more students to want to learn and ask questions. I will put down your website on the board so others can find your website.
Thanks so much
